As part of its Consumer Data Publication program, Veolia Water asked Gabriel Greenfield to implement a number of data extractions for local authorities.

Veolia subsequently extended the mission, to integrate a cross-functional team dedicated to the transformation, structuring and analysis of customer and consumer data following the migration of certain data to a Cloud platform, paving the way for numerous internal projects.

Our achievements

  • Implementation of a program for the automatic extraction of a dataset from the Data Warehouse into structured XML files in various ways

  • Integration and processing of textual data

  • Implementation of a text data transformation pipeline

  • Creation of a pipeline for cleaning and formatting customer data in a CRM software migration project

  • Design and creation of business object views and indicators

  • Implementation of a proof of concept for segmenting anonymized customer data in order to offer an email invoice sending service

Our intervention enabled Veolia Water to migrate its data to newer tools better suited to its needs:

  • Automation of data extraction in formats requested by different local authorities

  • Integration and cleaning of unformatted text data

  • Migrating customer data to a target tool
