AI in the service of renewable energies | Use case

Context


As part of a Data Science/Artificial Intelligence project, Gabriel Greenfield is supporting a client on renewable energy projects. To date, our work has focused on solar energy (photovoltaic) projects and purely technical projects (statistics, software development) within the client's organization.


Our Achievements


  • Automated daily calculation of metrics (e.g., average sensor temperature) at a photovoltaic site

  • Creation of a module for detecting outliers in solar data

  • Modeling of the power generated by a solar panel based on weather data

  • Detection of anomalies in real-world data time series, such as those caused by sensor malfunctions

  • Creation of graphs providing a clear visualization of the information derived from the analyses performed

  • Technical study of a Python library facilitating the creation of data analysis pipelines

  • Study of statistical methods for sensitivity analysis of systems

  • Automated selection of buildings from satellite images to classify them according to roof type.
